DBT

DBT stands for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This type of therapy is used primarily to treat Borderline Personality Disorder. DBT is a combination of various therapies, such as CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and implements mindfulness practices and reality testing.

We help clients build awareness surrounding their behaviors and these behaviors impact they have on others, especially family members. Living with Borderline can be exhuasting. We give clients tools to help them spend their energy properly and not expend it unwisely. Loving a Borderline can also be taxing, and we give families tools and skills necessary to help.

Borderline is very treatable under the proper skilled clinician. DBT utilizes an intervention called reality testing, which enables our clinicians to determine how far removed an individual is from seeing reality. It helps the client in her healing, as well as her family.

We are specialists in treating Borderline Personality Disorder, for the individual and their families. We restore trust that has been broken; hope that has been lost and relationships that have broken down.
